The semi-automatic folding trailer coupling folds away out of sight below the bumper when not required and can be folded out again, ready for use, at the touch of a button. Meticulous, seven-stage surface treatment of the components ensures high corrosion-protection. The maximum drawbar load is 140 kg. The trailer coupling package comprises mechanical and electrical parts plus a control unit. The coupling was specially developed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles and corresponds to the factory-fitted product. The safe, convenient trailer coupling meets the highest Mercedes-Benz standards, with documentation in EPC, ASRA and WIS. An adapter – 13-pin socket to the 7-pin plug – is available separately. The first folding movement is automatic – controlled by electric motors. The second folding movement is manual – until ball neck latches into position.
